As the hospitality industry is expanding globally and is poised to become the largest industry in the next 10 years, the demand for hotels would increase and, therefore, the demand for skilled hospitality professionals will increase exponentially with every passing year. Supplying the industry with high-caliber specialists will become a top-priority.

Based on our market research and in the 7 years of our operations we have observed that in the GCC, there are Universities conducting a 4-year degree programs in Hospitality and Tourism at a high rate which can cater to only a limited crowd or there are Government Sponsored institutes like the one in Oman which is 95% funded by the Government or there are a range of general training institutes conducting customer service programs, IATA programs and other short term programs. Therefore we have embarked on a mission to establish BIHM as an Institute which offers programs ranging from entry-level to Higher Degree-level based on the market requirements.

This would include all the programs related to Hospitality, Travel and Tourism combined into one and create a niche market which has not be tapped by any other training organization. Most importantly, it has also been observed that none of the existing institutes have any strong strategic tie-up with any employers for placement of its students. On the contrary, our strategy is totally dependent on getting placements for all our students, irrespective of nationalities, with prospective employers. These employers consist of international chains that have vast presence in this region for hotels, fast-food outlets or retail malls.

eTIP education system is an next generation system which extends its functionality and power much beyond common legacy systems. Besides handling handling all functions of an educational institution such as Student admission, Student Academics, Student Fees, Student Performance among others, eTIP offers unique opportunity to integrate the institution with its stake holders, sponsors, parents, clients and the student community to communicate, interact and refer to various facts and figures using the latest technologies. The eTIP system has three major components eTIP Enterprise Management System, eTIP Online System ,eTIP Examination System

Is one of the two areas of the eTIP Education System. Enterprise management system is exclusively for in-house information of the institute. It covers admission, academical details, student's performance, fees structure and administrative executive affairs, thus covering all the day-to-day functions of an educational institution. It is Built on the state-of-art technology based on the best practices around the globe, this system serves as an effective information provider. It uses a 3tier architecture allowing to deploy it on the internet besides giving a web-based control.

This second arena of eTIP focuses on enabling the user to go beyond the traditional methods of applications. It provides tools and utilities to monitor the progress, performance, attendance and day-to-day activities of the student along with course & exam schedules. All these online pieces of information enhances the transparency in the process of education. Each user having access to the online system will be assigned a User Name and Password to log on to the system and to check the status of student attendance, progess, performance, activites etc, thus creating a transperancy in the education process.

Unique of its own, e-TIP On Line Examination system is now user-friendly with latest enhancements and enrichments. Online examinations categorised in three stages viz Progress Tests, Revision Tests and Final Revision Tests, give scrolling facility for users to go back to questions once again and correct the answers. This evaluation system gives the confidence to students to recap their understanding and reinforce their answering skills. A table of display at the end of the test with the correct answers on one side and the answers they had opted will further enable them evaluate what went wrong and where while answering the questions.
